Player counts are reported by servers. Availability can change.
01 / The launcher
Find a real community to play with. Population checks, server discovery and mod setup, in one launcher.
Filter by map, check 1PP and 3PP tags, see reported queues, and save your regular servers. Add a server by IP when you know where you’re heading.
See the mods a server runs, request Workshop downloads through Steam, and manage installed mods from the launcher.
Join starts DayZ directly when your setup is ready. Missing a required mod? ZLauncher brings up the setup you need first.
We built ZLauncher to help the DayZ community find real servers with honest populations. We compare reported player counts with available player-list data, review suspicious results, and exclude servers confirmed to manipulate their populations. Sponsored servers follow the same rules.
02 / Getting started
You’ll need Steam and an owned copy of DayZ.
Download the Windows installer and run it on your gaming PC.
Sign in to Steam, check your DayZ setup, then browse or add your community’s server.
Let Steam finish downloading the required mods, then join directly from ZLauncher.
03 / Your next session
Made for the DayZ community. Free to use. Built around fair server discovery.
Checks for launcher updates when you open the app.
Requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), Steam and DayZ. Current builds are unsigned, so Windows may show an unknown-publisher warning. Check that the download came from this site before deciding to run it.
Population checks flag inconsistencies for review, and servers confirmed to fake player counts are excluded from the directory. A missing player list or a small discrepancy does not automatically hide a legitimate server. Servers report their own data, so checks help detect manipulation but cannot guarantee every count at every moment.
Yes. Browsing, mod management and joining servers are free. Server owners can optionally purchase sponsored placements through the launcher.
No. You need Steam and an owned copy of DayZ. Steam handles Workshop subscriptions and downloads; ZLauncher helps you prepare and join a server.
The installed launcher checks once when you open it, downloads available updates in the background, and lets you restart to apply them.
Open your server’s details in ZLauncher and select “Sponsor this server” to see the current packages. Placements last 30 days. Daily impression limits are caps, not guaranteed delivery.
